Terms of use
You may use this service free of charge to watermark documents you have the right to process, subject to the free-tier limits: six files a day, up to 100 MB and 300 pages each. You keep full ownership of your documents - we claim no rights over them beyond the licence needed to run the job you asked for - and you agree not to use the service for unlawful content or to disrupt it for others.
What you may do
- Watermark documents you own or have the right to process
- Use every style, colour, opacity and page-range control, free of charge
- Use the output for personal and internal business purposes
- Link to our pages and quote them with attribution
Free tier limits
| Limit | Value | Why it exists |
|---|---|---|
| Files per day | 6 | Keeps the free service fast and affordable to run |
| Upload size | 100 MB | Above almost every business document |
| Pages per file | 300 | Covers reports, catalogues and drawing sets |
| Logo image size | 5 MB | Crisp logos without a heavy upload |
| Files per job | 1 | Batch processing is reserved for paid plans |
| Retention | 60 minutes | Your file is not held longer than the job needs |
These are the service's current configuration defaults and may change with notice on this page.
What you must not do
- Process content you have no right to process, including other people's private documents
- Use the output to impersonate, defraud or mislead
- Circumvent the rate limits or daily allowance - for example by automated requests
- Probe, disrupt or overload the service, or attempt to access other users' files
- Resell the service as your own, or rebrand the output as a competing product
Ownership and responsibility
Your documents remain yours. The only right we need is the licence to read, process and write the file you submitted, for as long as the job takes - and that licence ends when the file is deleted. The watermarked output is yours too.
The service is provided as it is. We aim for it to be accurate and available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or that the output will be suitable for a particular purpose. You are responsible for checking the result before you rely on it - particularly for printed or contractual documents.
Frequently asked questions
Who owns the watermarked PDF?
You do. The service claims no rights over your document or the output; the only licence we hold is the one needed to process the file you submitted, and it ends when the file is deleted.
What happens if I hit the daily limit?
The limit resets after 24 hours and the tool tells you how long is left. The free tier allows six files a day so the service can stay free and fast; if you need more, splitting the work across days is the free option.
Can I use the output commercially?
The free tier covers personal and internal business use - marking your own invoices, reports and drawings. If you watermark documents as a service for clients, that is commercial use of the tool itself, and the paid terms cover it.
Can these terms change?
Yes, and the current version always lives on this page with its date. Changes that affect limits or acceptable use will be reflected here; continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it.
